Come and enjoy this free drop in program for seniors at the Wilberforce Legion. Held every second and fourth Thursday of the month, seniors can come and enjoy games, excercise to improve strength and balance, refreshments and social time. Bring a friend!

9:00 AM | Lloyd Watson Centre, Wilberforce
The adult day program runs every Wednesday at Lloyd Watson Centre and provides a structured, therapeutic and individualized day program for adults who are living at home - either alone, or with family caregivers. Within a group setting, the Day Program offers supervised activities to assist participants in achieving and maintaining their maximum level of function, to prevent premature and inappropriate institutionalization, and to provide respite and support for caregivers.

No registration required, just drop in and find a game to play or bring your own and play with like minded seniors. Bring friends, neighbors or meet someone new!

This event is open to all adults and is a non-competitve, social group. Everyone is welcome to join us at the Keith Tallman Memorial Arena in Wilberforce.

Join Georgia Shank, certified seniors fitness instructor, for an exercise class for seniors. Georgia will provide modifications to suit your needs. Chairs are available for those wishing to exercise from a chair. Clean indoor exercise shoes are required.
9:00 AM | Multiple Locations in Highlands East
Join us for a full day of fun throughout Highlands East with great family activities to celebrate Canada Day.
Cardiff
From 9:00 a.m to 11:00 a.m. at the Cardiff Legion, 2733 Monck Road.
The Royal Canadian Legion will host a pancake breakfast at the Legion. Adults $5.
Highland Grove
From Noon to 3:00 p.m. at the Kidd School House Museum, 5373 Loop Road.
Children’s crafts, local entertainment, horseshoes. BBQ and fire truck on display. Museum will be open.
Wilberforce
Starts at 11:30 a.m. at the Red Cross Outpost Museum, 2314 Loop Road.
Raising the flag ceremony at 11:30 a.m. with live entertainment followed by sandwiches and cupcakes.
From Noon to 1:00 p.m. only, Food Bank Open House. Come see CFN's new space.
Noon to 3:00 p.m. come play games at the Curling Club and 50/50 winner announcement hosted by the Wilberforce Fair. Live music featuring Phil O'Reilly. Bring your lawn chair.
Gooderham
From 4:00 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. at the Community Centre, 1043 Community Centre Road.
Children’s activities including a chance to interact with fire trucks, hoses and gear! Plus, cake, BBQ and live entertainment featuring Ragged Company starts at 7:00 p.m. Fireworks start at about 10:00 p.m.
Rain Day for Fireworks is Saturday, July 4th.

Chair yoga is a great option for those who are beginning an exercise program or anyone with mobility limitations or aging bodies. We will use a chair and other props to help with gentle stretching and movements. Chair yoga can bring increased flexibility, improve your ability to move and balance as well as reducing stress and help manage pain and discomfort.
- Classes are held at the Robert McAusland Memorial Community Centre in Gooderham
- All equipment (mats, chair, yoga props) is provided
- $10 per class
- Please arrive 15 minutes early to get setup and chat with your neighbours
